Finding an extra wide baby gate is not always the easiest thing to do, but finding one that is also well made
can be even more difficult. That said, the KidCo Elongate baby gate may be the ideal solution to the problem.
Designed for very wide openings anywhere in your home, this hardware mounted baby gate is made for 48" - 60"
openings.
One of the things I really like about this gate is that it is made of heavy duty
tubular steel. It's not 'flimsy' by any means. It stands 29.5" high, and has a release button that allows the door
to open up in either direction. Another nice aspect is that you can mount the door to either side of the
gate.
For those times when you don't need the gate to be in use, KidCo has designed the
door to be easily removed and set aside. To re-attach you simply snap it back in place on the wall mounted
hardware.
This is also a gate that can be used as a pet gate if you happen to have a small
puppy or dog at home and need to keep them from accessing certain areas in your home.
Mounting the gate is not a tedious task since KidCo also includes a handy mounting
template to make the job go smoothly. Up to four additional extensions can be mounted to this particular model if
you need additional room.
